Benefit for Sephora’s “Sweet to Meet Yo!”

Real Talk: I have been wanting to try Benefit’s “Girl Meets Pearl” ever since it came out. Anything that says it is “illuminating” has me weak in the knees. And yet, the $30 price tag was a bit steep for me. It’s not technically blush or bronzer and I have very similar products that work just as well. I could never justify spending the cash.

Enter Sephora’s Beauty Insider program. I’ve been saving my precious points for a while, specifically to get my hands on a big prize. I’m a HUGE fan of Benefit (see here, here, here, and most importantly here for proof) and I’ve been waiting for their 500 point perk for a while. And let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint,

Girl Meets Pearl: The greatest illuminating product out there. It is uniquely brushless and comes in a twist up form allowing for excellent application. The formula “illuminates” my skin in any lighting: natural, artificial, and even dim lighting. I noticed a difference right away, and so did the boyfriend. The ideal product for the summer season.

Benetint: I prefer to use this on my lips and not on my cheeks. Maybe I’m a fool and don’t know how to properly apply it as blush, but it makes me look more like I have rosacea than naturally rosy cheeks. Also – I have a very tan complexion, and no matter how many layers I apply it just never blends well on me. I do love it on my lips though. It’s a great stain and a perfect way to give lips a nice little pop.

Bad Gal Lash: I used to wear mascara every day, but since I started lining the tops of my lids I’ve found it unnecessary. I do love this formula, however. In High School this was the only mascara I would use. It’s not sweat proof, so it isn’t ideal for the humid months ahead.

Getting these products made my week (which is kind of sad but whatever). Honestly though, what is better than a FULL SIZE product that you have been coveting for over a year? Nothing I can think of. Hashtag winning.
