I made my commitment to lining my eyes when I was 14, and it’s a decision that will live with me forever. When I don’t wear eyeliner, I look crazy. You’re probably thinking, “Don’t you mean you feel naked?” No. I actually look crazy. So if there’s anyone who needs good eyeliner, it’s me.
As far as the regular pencil liner goes, it really doesn’t get any better than Urban Decay’s 24/7 Eye Pencil. It stays on despite rain, sweat, or whatever. Tight lining? No problem. 4 am dance party? Covered.
Like most American girls my generation, I started doing “winged” eyeliner after seeing Lauren Conrad perfect hers on Laguna Beach and The Hills. I was once a gel liner gal – liquid eyeliner always seems to sweat off so easily. But once I started to make the move, I noticed how much thinner and cleaner the line above my eyes started to look. Such precision!
I made the switch from gel to liquid using an Estee Lauder formula, but I grew to love “felt tip” liquid liners. Stila has a great one that I haven’t gotten around to replacing (read: it’s expensive). For a smaller price and an additional award I turned to Physician’s Formula 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum. This liner not only glides on with ease, but it has lash enhancing serum as well. Talk about killing two birds with one stone! Multi-tasking at its finest.
Now I’m not going to say my eyelashes are like soooooo much longer, because they’re not. But there’s definitely a difference. I’ve been using the Lash Boosting Eyeliner every day since September, and I like what I see so far. In addition to giving my lush lashes, it is also smudge proof and water resistant. HELL YEAH!
Now, if only I could actually find these guys in the morning. I lose makeup like it’s my job.
