Oh man, sometimes a link up is exactly what you need on a Thursday. We have almost made it through the week! Celebrate with a lil procrastination, presented by yours truly:
1. Broad City’s Second Season Brings Back One of TV’s Best Comedy Duos by Matt Zoller Seitz on Vulture.com: Are you watching Broad City? If you’re not, you need to be. It is hands down the best show on television right now and makes me laugh so hard I cry. Last night’s premiere legitimately had me in tears. Season One is on Amazon, and Season Two just started on Comedy Central. It’s already been picked up for season three, so my life is already complete a year from now. #heckyes
2. The Subtle Art of NOT GIVING A F*CK by Mark Manson on MarkManson.net: There is so much trivial crap in the world. We’re bombarded with so many things that actually DO NOT MATTER and often find it difficult to wade through the bullsh*t to concentrate on that things that actually do. In my adventures in becoming an adult I have become excellent at really remembering what matters at the end of the day. It’s all about living your life with intention and making yourself proud. And while there are many beautiful ways to put this idea, there are also really hilarious ways to put it. This article may not be the most eloquent thing you’ll read all day, but it will probably be the best.
Developing the ability to control and manage the f*cks you give is the essence of strength and integrity. We must craft and hone our lack of f*ckery over the course of years and decades. This may sound easy. But it is not. Most of us, most of the time, get sucked in by life’s mean trivialities, steamrolled by its unimportant dramas; we live and die by the sidenotes and distraction… This is no way to live, man.
3. 4 Financial Habits of Highly Successful People by Farnoosh Torabi on Times.com: I am working so hard to pay off my student loans, save money for the wedding, and be better financially in general. Every now and then I am about to get off track, but tips like these come in handy. It’s important to surround yourself with the kind of person you want to be, or the ideas you want to have.
5. The Simplicity Series: Larisa Mar on EmilyLey.com: Totally busted, but listen… this is a great read! lol. Yes, it’s an interview with me. I’m over the moon excited about it so yes, you should read it! Emily and her team are such sweethearts and it’s a brand I identify with and can stand behind with my whole heart. I’m so honored that they took the time to get to know me!
That’s all, folks! Here’s to an amazing Thursday and a kick butt weekend.
