New York Botanical Garden for Valentine’s Day

Mike actually swept me off my feet this year. I can’t even being to speak about how magical yesterday was. It was borderline better than when he proposed to me. I am actually the luckiest girl in the world and I know I need to stop bragging about it because I’m driving myself nuts. I’d never been to the New York Botanical Garden so the coldest day of the year seemed like a good time to go. We had brunch at the Hudson Garden Grill, then walked around for about an hour or so enjoying the warmth and the plants. It was 6 degrees and windy outside, but inside it was a perfect 75. We were transported to a completely different world and it was kind of the best idea ever.

It was such a simple day in theory, but the escape from the city into the New York Botanical Garden was so welcome. It has been such a brutal winter that being able to walk around without my coat was truly a treat! As a New Yorker, this isn’t somewhere high on the list of places to check out, especially since most people who come to visit from out of town don’t want to journey all the way to the Bronx! But the New York Botanical Garden is actually an awesome place – I highly recommend it, especially in the cold winter.

It was definitely a Valentine’s Day worth remembering – no matter how cold it was outside, it was so fun to walk around the New York Botanical Garden and enjoy mother nature! Hope you had an amazing Valentine’s Day filled with chocolate and flowers and lots of love!
