Wedding Registry Pt2: The Bedroom

So on top of being overwhelmed by my schedule and my responsibilities, I am also incredibly sick. Yesterday I worked a half day, but it was the most excruciating half day ever. When my body is sick there is no “pushing through” it… my tolerance for pain is low and I’m not too proud to say so! Anyway…

I have accidentally taken 4 weeks off from wedding planning. Oops. I recently wrote about what we registered for in the bath and kitchen, so without further ado here are some of my favorite picks from our bedroom registry:

Every photo is taken from the Anthropologie online store. Again, not an affiliate and too lazy to link but you get the picture.

One of the things I love about our bedroom is the calming colors. Nothing too intense or bright; just the right amount of blues and mints and turquoise colors to create a very serene style. It reminds me of the ocean or of the sky: an ideal thing to look at before going to bed or when you’re just waking up. We definitely want to keep with that theme and within that same color palette. Our registry expand on those colors a little bit more, incorporating more mints and fun patterns. And a thousands throw pillows, because are you even an adult if you don’t have a thousand throw pillows?

I try hard to make it so the color scheme isn’t the most girly thing in the world. If I had my way, everything would be a shade of pink but that’s ridiculous. Mike’s favorite color is blue, so it all works out. Again, none of this is stuff we need but they’re all things that would be nice to have. These kinds of things make a house feel like a home, you know? And it’s fun to curate everything and plan it all out before actually having it all. It’s nice to see the “big picture.”

There is still so much left to do that I kind of don’t know where to start. Are you ever so overwhelmed that your to do list makes you cry? Yeah. We still have to confirm our invitation printers, get our bridal party fitted, and a few other hundred things. The more I think about it, the more a wedding planner sounds like a great idea.
